Mac OS X Leopard | Activity Monitor Fails To Launch After Leopard Upgrade

One of the most common complaints, one which we ourselves have endured until recently, is the failing of Activity Monitor after a Mac OS X Tiger to Leopard upgrade.

Nothing happens. You click the Activity Monitor icon and an error message is displayed prompting a re-launch or the option to report the error to Apple.

Here's a simple fix.

Go to the Apple Developer's member web site
If you're not already a member then create a membership account
If you're already a member, login
Select the Downloads link
From the Downloads option select the Developer's Tools downloads
Download the CHUD tools 4.5.0 (Diagram 1.0)
Install CHUD tools 4.5.0 on your Mac
Restart your Mac

Diagram 1.0, Download CHUD tools

Activity Monitor should be back and working again after the installation.
